BIESPA History
Founded in 1999 when 3 smaller union locals joined forces, the Bainbridge Island Educational Support Professional Association (BIESPA) represents most classified employees in our school district. We ensure that our members are treated in accordance with our contract and the laws of Washington State. We negotiate for better working conditions and increased benefits including a living wage for all our members.

Classified employees make an invaluable contribution to the education of our students and are an integral part of the education team..
BIESPA is an affiliate of the Washington Education Association. Our members include bus drivers, custodians, secretaries and other office staff, technology specialists, para-educators, maintenance, security and grounds keeping personnel and food service workers
